Roof Repair Smedway built its Commercial Roofing division around one idea: homeowners in Lexington deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Long before Roof Repair Smedway had a website, our lead foremen were already climbing ladders across Lexington, MN, learning which underlayment holds up against humidity and which fastener pattern actually survives a coastal gust line.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
We've seen what happens when a roof gets "good enough" instead of done right — the drywall stains, the mold behind the insulation, the second call nobody wanted to make. Our Commercial Roofing teams build to avoid that call entirely.
Bonded, insured, and ready to show proof on the spot.
Storm damage doesn't check a calendar, so neither does our on-call rotation.
You'll see the number before any work starts, not buried in a final invoice.
Faster arrival times because the truck was already nearby.
A roof rarely fails all at once. It sends smaller signals first, and catching them early is almost always cheaper than waiting for the emergency call.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Cupped shingles trap moisture underneath instead of shedding it, accelerating rot in the decking below.
Climb into the attic on a sunny day — if you see pinpricks of daylight, water can get through the same gaps.
A yellow-brown ring spreading across a ceiling almost always traces back to a roof leak, even if the leak point is several feet away from the stain.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Missing shingles expose the underlayment, which is only designed as a temporary secondary barrier, not a long-term surface.
Not every roof problem calls for the same fix, which is why we scope each job individually instead of running every call through one generic estimate.
Emergency dispatch covers downed limbs through the roof deck, storm-torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingle sections that need immediate coverage.
Residential work covers shingle repair, full re-roofs, ridge and soffit ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing — whatever the house actually needs.
We schedule commercial jobs around business hours whenever possible, minimizing disruption to tenants, staff, or foot traffic.
Replacement jobs include a detailed material walkthrough so you're choosing a system that fits your climate exposure and budget, not just whatever's on the truck.
Post-storm inspections give homeowners a documented record for insurance purposes, whether or not a claim is ultimately filed.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general handyman work often gets wrong — our crews treat them as their own scope.
Calls placed after hours still reach an on-call line for anything urgent.
A technician walks the roof, checks the attic side when accessible, and documents the damage with photos.
No verbal-only pricing — every number is documented so there's no confusion at invoice time.
Warranty documentation is provided on completion for both materials and labor.
Crews dispatched from within Lexington, MN reach most Lexington calls faster than out-of-area companies quoting a two-week wait.
Every job gets a written estimate before a single nail is pulled, so there's no surprise number waiting at the end.
Certifications are kept current so warranty coverage on materials stays valid when we install them.
We'd rather send a crew back for a five-minute fix than leave a customer unsure whether the job was done correctly.
We've worked with enough adjusters across Lexington, MN to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
If a repair is all your roof needs, we'll say so — we don't push a full replacement to inflate the invoice.
Every Commercial Roofing project closes with a written warranty covering our labor, separate from whatever coverage the shingle or membrane manufacturer already provides.
We also guarantee the estimate itself: barring a scope change you approve in writing, the number on your written quote is the number on your final invoice.
We keep multiple crews staged across Lexington, MN so that a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Lexington waiting.
Because our crews already know the layout of Lexington and the surrounding parts of Lexington, MN, we rarely waste a homeowner's morning on a wrong-turn delay.
